The Peak District is a gorgeous part of the country with so much incredible scenery to view and explore. Here are some great places to explore by bike!
Waterside TrailsLadybower Reservoir - This 9KM route is great for some sightseeing with younger children including toddlers.
Carsington Water - This track is a great way to explore and experience the beautiful water this summer. We have a wide range of kids bikes to ride along this beautiful route with.
Carsington Loop - This loop in full is 12.3KM long so it’s not one for inexperienced cyclists, but great for older children!
Redmires Upper Reservoir Loop - This loop is great for a long cycle with your family!
Potato Alley Loop from Hope - This route would take you around 3 hours to complete since it's around 22 miles long. A mountain bike would be perfect here, hybrid bikes are also a great option.
Ladybower overflow drain Loop from Edale - This route would take you just under 3 hours. It's 27 miles long and ideal for more experienced riders.
Long Causeway gravel - This path runs alongside a beautiful reservoir, it's around 37 miles long and would take just under 5 hours. This also includes a very steep uphill segment so it shouldn't be taken on by anyone too inexperienced.
Gravel TrailsThe Manifold Valley Trail - This trail holds wonderful scenery, water views and forests, perfect to experience in the change of season.
The Tissington Trail - This trail is full of history and scenery looking like something out of the 1800s.
The Monsal Trail - This trail is great if you’re wanting some shade in the summer months, cycle through a tunnel and experience some shade from the sun!
High Peak Trail - This route is great if you’re looking for a full countryside experience, a road bike is a perfect bike for a path like this.
Thornhill Trail- Perfect for cycling and walking, this path follows a disused railway line!
Fairholmes Visitor Centre - This centre is a forest full of scenery and wonder, this is a great place to cycle and stop off at a book store for a break.
Miller's Dale Car Park Loop from Bakewell - This loop is ideally made for those at an expert level since this is a difficult loop. It'd take just under 3 hours since it's 22 miles long.
Mam Tor Loop from Edale - This loop takes around 4 hours and it's 26 miles long. There is some uphill segments so pushing your bike might have to be an option.
These beautiful trails are ideal for family outings and spending time with those you love. Don't forget to head off on even more cycling trips too, maybe the Isle Of Wight or Yorkshire!
