The bike arrives in a box. The handlebars, front wheel, front mudguard, pedals and saddle must be attached.
You will need a multi-tool or hex key set, 10mm spanner, 15mm wrench, scissors, pliers, a screwdriver and a pump.

Some things to note:

If you assemble your own bike, it’s very important that you do it correctly. If you have doubts, pay your local bike mechanic to check over your handiwork or assemble it for you.
In the first few weeks of use, you can expect your bike to ‘bed-in’. You must check everything is tight before each ride. Cables will stretch so your gears and brakes will need adjustment.

Finding the correct size bike starts with measuring the legs. Take a measuring tape, place it on the floor inside the leg and measure upwards. Now check the chart below.

The Daytripper City bike is a great option for our taller Bobbin world inhabitants, who want to look slick and stylish when they're out and about on their daily jaunts. So, if you have an inside leg length between 79cm - 99cm this is the right two-wheeler for you.

Gearing Explained

The Daytripper has a single gear shifter, numbered 1-7. Number 7 is a fast gear. Use this on a good day / if you are late. Number 1 is the easiest gear. Use this if you encounter a horribly steep hill. Don't use it on flat roads. Your legs will spin furiously and it will take ages!

Yes, you can. We have many Bobbin riders using child seats. We recommend you buy a child seat with an integral rear carrier rack and visit a local bike shop to have this fitted to your bike so you can be sure it is fitted correctly. We can't guarantee our bikes are compatible with every child seat brand or mounting system.

A Lovely Dutch Bicycle
Based on a Dutch bike, the Daytripper is a very big upright bike that rides like a horse! Makes for the perfect countryside or city bike.

Lightweight Bike Frame
Unlike classic Dutch bikes, though, the alloy TIG-welded frame weighs in at just 13kg. You'll notice the benefit of this lightweight product if you ever carry your bike up steps or if you ever wanted to take this alloy road bike on a long journey.

Practical and Classic Bikes
With a fitted chain guard and mud guards as well as swept-back handlebars for a regal upright position. Chunky cream tyres give you a comfortable ride over potholes and rutted lanes.

These Are The Brakes

Front or Rear Rack
This adult bike is fitted with an alloy carrier rack on the back, to match the alloy frame. The Daytripper is also compatible with our front carrier options, whether it be a steel or wicker basket to carry beer/charcuterie or a small dog! Simple and classic.
