Our Favourite Kid’s Accessories:
You can’t just stop at a basket and bell! There are so many more amazing accessories you can add to your child’s bike to make the bike even more exciting than it already is. Here are some of our favourite children’s bike accessories so you can add more to your bike!
Bike Basket Garland Craft Kit - This is a great way to encourage your kids to get onto their bikes, they’ll want to show off what they’ve made. It’s also a great rainy day activity that can be added to bikes later on.
Handlebar Tassels - If you’re struggling to get them excited about riding a bike, why not try these handlebar tassels. When they’re riding into the wind, they’ll see these colourful tassels blowing in the wind alongside them.
Button Bike Light Set - Buying these gives you the perfect opportunity to teach them about road safety. Giving them this light to add to their bike also makes learning about keeping safe run and colourful!
Kids Bike Lock - The last this anyone wants is their bike stolen, so just like teaching them about road safety, buying this lock gives you the perfect opportunity to teach them about keeping their bikes safe.
Skylark Stabilisers - If your child isn’t quite ready to say goodbye to the stabilisers yet, we have some matching stabilisers available to buy. These are the ones that come with the smaller size bikes in the Gingersnap range and are ideal for the kids who are old enough and ready to try road riding.
Your Child's Old Bike
So now you’ve got everything ready to go and purchase a new bike from this incredible range. But what do you do with your child’s old bike? Here are some helpful tips about where to send your child’s old bike!
Give to charity - Much like adult bikes, bikes for kids are needed and wanted from charity organisations. This is a great way to give back to the local community and those less fortunate without it costing you a fortune.
Sell for parts - If you have parts from your kids bike that could still be used but the bike is in too much disrepair to give away, try selling your bike to a bike shop for spare parts. This is a great way of still earning off a broken or low-quality bike.
Donate to an organisation - There are plenty of organisations around that help fund less fortunate children. Giving the bike to a specific charity is a great way of helping a targeted audience of those less fortunate.
You’re all set! You’ve found the perfect bike for your child, you've added a pop with a colourful design and some fun accessories and you even know what to do with the old one! Now all you have to do is plan an exciting cycling adventure and a fun family bike ride for you all to travel on.
