Cardiff Bay Trail - This route is 6.2 miles long and would take you around 1 hour and 30 minutes to complete. It’s a circular trail for cyclists and walkers where you’ll pass the coast and plenty of greenery.


Cardiff to Castell Coch - If you’re choosing this route then you’ll be cycling for around 45 minutes. Along the way, you’ll see plenty of great sights, including the fairytale-looking Castell Coch.

 

Peregrine Path - This cycle track spans 7.5 miles, connecting Monmouth to Symonds Yat Rock. It’s a fantastic route if you’re looking for a challenge with some great scenery!

 

Three Parks Trail - This cycle track is 13 miles long, taking you around 4 hours to complete. If you’re up for a challenge or you want a full day of cycling and scenery then this route is perfect.

 

Sirhowy Valley Country Park - This park covers over 1000 acres, you’re able to cycle through the park at your own pace and explore the breathtaking scenery along the way. This park is especially perfect for the Autumn months.

 

Forest Farm Country Park - This park covers 150 acres and runs alongside the beautiful River Taff. You can take your bike or just go for a stroll but either way, you’re bound to have a wonderful time here!

 

Bryngarw Country Park - You’re able to explore the 120 acres this park has to offer by bike or by foot. There’s plenty of history within these woods and plenty of ponds and scenery!

 

Bute Park - There is just one designated shared cycle route which crosses the park between Millennium Footbridge and the Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama. Remember to keep left and overtake on the right.

 

The Gap - This cycle route is 30 miles long, taking you all day to complete. It’ll take you 600m above sea level so if sea views are what you want, then this route is ideal!

 

Dare Valley Bike Park - If you’re looking for a route that’ll take you into the hills then this is perfect. You’ll find plenty of woodlands and open hillside on this cycle route!
