Introducing the Metric
The Metric is a small-wheeled utility bike, inspired by our visits to Kyoto. ‘Mini-velo’ adult bikes are a huge trend in Japan, where they are stored in tiny apartments and used to zip around the city back alleys on errands. It doesn’t fold, which means the steel frame is elegantly slim, light and more rigid than a folder. Fitted with slim racing tyres and 7-speed gearing that can propel you up hills, it's surprisingly sporty, and also comes with a handy small front porteur rack and hammered alloy mudguards.
